Breeze
Breeze
Breeze is the last painting of my “Red Lock” series, where red hair becomes the main force within the painting. Built on a dark, worked ground, the figure emerges through contrast, with areas of clarity held against looser, more instinctive passages.
The surface is kept raw and direct — allowing drips, marks, and interruptions to remain visible. The hair is not fully contained; it moves into the ground, breaking structure and carrying the energy of the piece.
This work explores that edge between control and release — where the portrait holds, but the material is still in motion.
Oil and mixed media on panel, approx 89×60 cm plus Frame (black wooden box frame)
