LONDON WORKSHOP

Join me for 5 full days of “painting experience” at the beautiful Art House Wimbledon, in London !
This course is designed for those who want to loosen up and incorporate abstract visual elements into their figurative/realist work, and equally for those who want to deepen and refine their technique to create more impactful, realist portraits.
I’ll show and talk about my process WHILE encouriging you to find or push your own!
Main learning points:
overview of different painting grounds (canvas, panels, metall, etc) and how to prepare each to improve the painting results
how to source, select and develop interesting compositions from basic photographic reference (or studies from life)
figure work: from sketching to painting
mixing skin tones for realistic portraiture / figure
developing creative/abstract background to complement our figurative work
and much more!!
We will use a combination of fotographic reference and an inspiring setting with a model posing from life to create one or more paintings in everyone’s unique style and at your own pace.
There will be demos as well as a lot of tailored, one-to-one mentoring available for the whole duration of the workshop.
Suitable for any level; for both oil and acrylic painters.
Students are welcome to send a portfolio prior to the start of the workshop.
Monday to Friday, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm*.
